The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Columbus won 29-27 in their recent league bout against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS)

In their next game, the Chargers face the Horn Lake Eagles (Horn Lake, MS) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 17. Grenada will attempt to move on its 11-4 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 13-7 record after their 66-54 league loss to South Panola (Batesville, MS).
