In Friday's league outing, the North Fork Miners (Hotchkiss, CO) basketball squad felled the host Gunnison Cowboys (Gunnison, CO), by a margin of 40-29.
The Miners (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against Roaring Fork (Carbondale, CO). The Rams go into the 3A Western Slope outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, Roaring Fork was beaten by Cedaredge (Cedaredge, CO), 67-36, in a league outing.
The Cowboys now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Aspen for a 3A Western Slope outing on Saturday, January 14. Gunnison will clash with a Skiers squad coming off a 69-12 league loss to Grand Valley (Parachute, CO). The Skiers record now stands at 0-9.
