The Pottsboro Cardinals basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Gunter Tigers to 36 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 23-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blue Ridge for a 3A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, January 17.

The Tigers (20-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bells (Bells, TX). The Panthers enter the 3A Region II District 11 contest with a 17-10 record. In their last contest, Bells ran past Tioga (Tioga, TX), 68-32, in a non-league contest.
