The Hale Center Owls basketball team (Hale Center, TX), dropped 50-41 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Lockney Longhorns (Lockney, TX)

The Longhorns now possess a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sudan for a 2A Region I District 4 battle on Tuesday, January 17. Lockney will confront a Hornets team coming off a 58-34 league win over New Deal (New Deal, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 17-8.

The Owls (19-7) will now prepare for their battle against Floydada (Floydada, TX). The Whirlwinds come into the 2A Region I District 4 battle with a 13-8 record. In their last battle, Floydada dropped by Olton (Olton, TX), 46-42, in a league battle.
