Pocola Indians (Pocola, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hartshorne Miners (Hartshorne, OK), 69-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pocola upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Heavener (Heavener, OK) to play the Wolves in a Black Diamond bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 1-5. Heavener lost 50-27 in their recent league bout against Stigler (Stigler, OK)

Next up, the Miners play the Talihina Golden Tigers (Talihina, OK) in a Black Diamond bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Hartshorne will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
