Liberty Redhawks (Frisco, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), 55-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 14-8 on the season. The Redhawks travel to Memorial (Frisco, TX) to play the Warriors in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 19-9. Memorial won 41-34 in their recent league bout against Emerson (McKinney, TX)

Next up, the Knights play the Heritage Coyotes (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Coyotes go into the bout with a 13-10 record after their 69-49 league loss to Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX).
