Michigan High School Basketball - Ishpeming knocked off by Negaunee

The Negaunee Miners basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Ishpeming Hematites to 38 in the Miners league triumph on Friday.
The Miners now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gwinn for a Mid-Peninsula contest on Tuesday, January 17. Negaunee will meet a Modeltowners team coming off a 50-42 non-league loss to Bark River-Harris (Harris, MI). The Modeltowners record now stands at 4-3.
The Hematites (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against West Iron County (Iron River, MI). The Wykons enter the Western Peninsula contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, West Iron County ran past Menominee (Menominee, MI), 45-42, in a non-league contest.
