Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA), 41-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Southwest upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Patriots host Westside (Macon, GA) to clash with the Seminoles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Seminoles go into the bout with a record of 4-12. Westside lost 58-23 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Macon, GA)

Next up, the Cherokees clash with the Lee County Trojans (Leesburg, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Kendrick will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 58-40 league loss to Tift County (Tifton, GA).
