Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA), 47-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Keokuk upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Chiefs travel to West Burlington (West Burlington, IA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 8-1. West Burlington won 54-53 in their recent non-league bout against Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Dubuque Senior Rams (Dubuque, IA) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Friday, January 13. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 51-45 league loss to Liberty (North Liberty, IA).
