Georgia High School Basketball - Laney thwarted by Washington County

January 13, 2023: Sandersville, GA 31082

The Laney Wildcats basketball team (Augusta, GA), was toppled 65-50 in Friday's league battle with the host Washington County Golden Hawks (Sandersville, GA)

The Golden Hawks now possess a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenn Hills for a AA Region 4A battle on Tuesday, January 17. Washington County will confront a Spartans team coming off a 63-30 league loss to Putnam County (Eatonton, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-9.

The Wildcats (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Westside (Augusta, GA). The Patriots come into the AA Region 4B battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Westside was toppled by Butler (Augusta, GA), 45-41, in a league battle.
