William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Manassas Park Cougars (Manassas Park, VA), 52-14 in a league bout.

With the win, William Monroe upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Dragons host Skyline (Front Royal, VA) to play the Hawks in a Northwestern bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Skyline lost 53-31 in their recent league bout against Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) in a Northwestern bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Manassas Park will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 48-11 league win over Warren County (Front Royal, VA).
