South Central Trojans (Greenwich, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), 50-42 in a league bout.

With the win, South Central upgrades its record to 3-8 on the season. The Trojans host Plymouth (Plymouth, OH) to clash with the Big Red in a Firelands bout on Saturday, January 14. The Big Red go into the bout with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Mounties clash with the Monroeville Eagles (Monroeville, OH) in a Firelands bout, on Saturday, January 14. Mapleton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 52-39 league loss to New London (New London, OH).
