The Marvin Ridge Mavericks basketball team scored 84 points and held the host Piedmont Panthers to 13 in the Mavericks league triumph on Friday.

The Mavericks now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weddington for a 4A Conference 58 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Marvin Ridge will battle a Warriors team coming off a 43-27 league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 4-10.

The Panthers (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates enter the 4A Conference 58 contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Porter Ridge triumphed over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC), 50-38, in a league contest.
