Georgia High School Basketball - Metter ripped by Screven County

The Screven County Gamecocks basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Metter Tigers to 43 in the Gamecocks league triumph on Friday.

The Gamecocks now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Johnson County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Screven County will meet a Trojans team coming off a 66-26 league win over Georgia Military College (Milledgeville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 4-4.

The Tigers (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Emanuel County Institute was routed by Jenkins County (Millen, GA), 53-35, in a league contest.
