In Friday's league outing, the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders (Central Valley, NY) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), by a margin of 62-24.

The Crusaders (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Bushmen go into the Section 9 Orange County I outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Pine Bush smashed Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY), 68-38, in a non-league outing.

The Goldbacks now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they host Warwick for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 17. Newburgh Free Academy will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 52-19 non-league win over Goshen Central (Goshen, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-2.
