In Friday's league outing, the Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) basketball squad edged the visiting Tennyson Lancers (Hayward, CA), by a margin of 2-0.
The Monarchs (6-8) will now prepare for their outing against Weston Ranch (Stockton, CA). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 7-6 record. In their last outing, Weston Ranch held off McNair (Stockton, CA), 60-55, in a league outing.
The Lancers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Hayward for a West Alameda County - Shoreline outing on Wednesday, January 18. Tennyson will clash with a Farmers squad coming off a 56-38 league win over Arroyo (San Lorenzo, CA). The Farmers record now stands at 7-6.
