The Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), 64-57 in Friday's league test.
The Vikings (6-8) will now prepare for their test against William Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers go into the Blue Ridge test with a 1-12 record. In their last test, William Byrd was tipped by Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 56-20, in a league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Glenvar for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Staunton River will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 70-40 league loss to Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-6.
