The Port Huron Northern Huskies (Port Huron, MI) basketball nipped the host Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI), 40-37 in Friday's non-league test.
The Huskies (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, Utica Ford got by Romeo (Romeo, MI), 44-40, in a league test.
The Chieftains now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they host Anchor Bay for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Utica will encounter a Tars squad coming off a 74-46 league win over Lakeview (St. Clair Shores, MI). The Tars record now stands at 7-3.
