Iowa High School Basketball - West Central can't hold off Postville

The Postville Pirates basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting West Central Blue Devils to 39 in the Pirates league victory on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mabel-Canton for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Postville will battle a Cougars team coming off a 57-45 league loss to Spring Grove (Spring Grove, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 1-9.
The Blue Devils (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Elkader, IA). The Warriors come into the Upper Iowa contest with a 13-0 record. In their last contest, Central edged Kee (Lansing, IA), 62-22, in a league contest.
