Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA), 53-19 in a league bout.

With the win, Prince Edward County upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Eagles host Buckingham (Buckingham, VA) to clash with the Knights in a James River bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Buckingham lost 42-36 in their recent league bout against Cumberland (Cumberland, VA)

Next up, the Statesmen clash with the Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) in a James River bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Randolph-Henry will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 57-35 league loss to Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA).
