Water Valley Wildcats (Water Valley, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Reagan County Owls (Big Lake, TX), 46-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Water Valley upgrades its record to 18-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Forsan (Forsan, TX) to play the Buffaloes in a 2A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Forsan lost 49-40 in their recent league bout against Ozona (Ozona, TX)

Next up, the Owls play the Christoval Cougars (Christoval, TX) in a 2A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Reagan County will attempt to move on its 9-13 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 14-11 record after their 75-37 league win over Sterling City (Sterling City, TX).
