White Oak Roughnecks (White Oak, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX), 30-27 in a league bout.

With the win, White Oak upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Roughnecks host New Diana (Diana, TX) to play the Eagles in a 3A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-15. New Diana won 34-15 in their recent league bout against Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Gladewater Bears (Gladewater, TX) in a 3A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Sabine will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 83-31 league win over Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX).
