Menlo-Atherton Bears (Atherton, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA), 20-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Menlo-Atherton upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Bears host Sequoia (Redwood City, CA) to play the Ravens in a bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Ravens go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Sequoia lost 19-13 in their recent league bout against Woodside (Woodside, CA)

Next up, the Scots play the Woodside Wildcats (Woodside, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Carlmont will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 19-13 league win over Sequoia (Redwood City, CA).
