California High School Basketball - Pittsburg knocked off by Deer Valley

The Deer Valley Wolverines basketball team scored 35 points and held the host Pittsburg Pirates to 27 in the Wolverines league triumph on Friday.
The Wolverines now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heritage for a contest on Wednesday, January 18. Deer Valley will battle a Patriots team coming off a 49-16 league win over Antioch (Antioch, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 8-5.
The Pirates (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom (Oakley, CA). The Falcons enter the contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Freedom was defeated by Liberty (Brentwood, CA), 34-12, in a league contest.
