Sherando Warriors (Stephens City, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Handley Judges (Winchester, VA), 21-16 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sherando upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 8-0. Kettle Run won 50-14 in their recent non-league bout against Millbrook (Winchester, VA)

Next up, the Judges play the Fauquier Falcons (Warrenton, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Handley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 34-23 non-league loss to Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA).
