Archbishop Riordan Crusaders (San Francisco, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Valley Christian Warriors (San Jose, CA), 66-61 in a league bout.

With the victory, Archbishop Riordan upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA) to play the Monarchs in a bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Monarchs come into the bout with a record of 4-4. Archbishop Mitty lost 41-34 in their recent league bout against Bellarmine College Prep (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Bellarmine College Prep Bells (San Jose, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Valley Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
