Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC), 69-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Asheboro upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Blue Comets host Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to play the Timberwolves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Montgomery Central lost 50-44 in their recent league bout against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC)

Next up, the Black Knights play the Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. North Davidson will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 58-36 non-league loss to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC).
