Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC), 64-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Charlotte Country Day School upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Buccaneers host Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC) to play the Hawks in a bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Charlotte Latin lost 59-43 in their recent non-league bout against Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Charlotte Christian Knights (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Cannon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 63-61 league win over Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC).
