Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Cary Imps (Cary, NC), 46-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Middle Creek upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 10-6. Athens Drive lost 54-39 in their recent non-league bout against Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC)

Next up, the Imps play the Green Level Gators (Cary, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Cary will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Gators come into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 55-40 league loss to Apex Friendship (Apex, NC).
