The Lincoln Hornets basketball team (San Diego, CA), was nudged 33-31 in Friday's league battle with the host La Jolla Vikings (La Jolla, CA)
The Vikings now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host San Dieguito Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 14. La Jolla will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 78-73 league loss to Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-14.
The Hornets (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Helix (La Mesa, CA). The Highlanders come into the non-league battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, Helix edged Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA), 50-40, in a league battle.
