In Friday's non-league outing, the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC), by a margin of 36-33.
The Blue Devils (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Devils go into the non-league outing with a 5-8 record. In their last outing, Newton-Conover held off Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC), 54-41, in a non-league outing.
The Wolves now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to West Lincoln for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 17. Lincolnton will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 51-31 non-league loss to East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 2-11.
