Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Northern Nash Knights (Rocky Mount, NC), 60-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southern Nash upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Firebirds host Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Knights play the Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Northern Nash will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Gryphons go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 42-30 league loss to Franklinton (Franklinton, NC).
