In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Northside Vikings basketball team scored a tight 47-42 triumph over the Staunton River Golden Eagles.
In their next game, the Vikings meet the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 17. Northside will attempt to better on its 11-1 season record.
