Vallejo Red Hawks (Vallejo, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Saint Mary's Panthers (Albany, CA), 41-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Vallejo upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Red Hawks host Fairfield (Fairfield, CA) to play the Falcons in a bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Fairfield lost 63-43 in their recent league bout against Vanden (Fairfield, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Saint Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 62-43 league win over De Anza (El Sobrante, CA).
