Homefires Flames (Danville, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Calvary Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders (Urbana, IL), 42-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Homefires upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Flames travel to First Baptist Academy (O'Fallon, IL) to play the in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The go into the bout with a record of 8-5. First Baptist Academy won 37-35 in their recent non-league bout against Maryville Christian (Maryville, IL)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Illinois Central Christian Lions (Washington, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Calvary Baptist Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
