Georgia High School Basketball - Crisp County thwarts Turner County

January 13, 2024: Cordele, GA 31015

The Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Turner County Titans (Ashburn, GA), 65-53 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cougars (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Wilcox County notched a victory over Telfair County (McRae, GA), 62-55, in a league test.

The Titans now own a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Lanier County for a A D2 Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 16. Turner County will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 57-36 league win over Charlton County (Folkston, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-4.
