In Saturday's non-league outing, the Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting McNairy Central Bobcats (Selmer, TN), by a count of 62-34.

The Choctaws (17-2) will now prepare for their outing against Obion County (Troy, TN). The Rebels go into the 3A District 13 outing with a 12-5 record.

The Bobcats now hold a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Chester County for a 3A District 12 outing on Tuesday, January 16. McNairy Central will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 67-64 league win over Jackson South Side (Jackson, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 14-1.
