The Pope County Pirates basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Egyptian Pharaohs to 43 in the Pirates non-league victory on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrier Mills-Stonefort for a Greater Egyptian contest on Tuesday, January 16. Pope County will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 51-41 league loss to Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-14.

The Pharaohs (4-17) will now prepare for their contest against Zalma (Zalma, MO). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record.
