Fairfield Eagles (Fairfield, MT) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Shelby Coyotes (Shelby, MT), 68-66 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fairfield upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Rocky Boy (Box Elder, MT) to play the Northern Stars in a B District 1 bout on Thursday, February 8. The Northern Stars come into the bout with a record of 7-2.

Next up, the Coyotes play the Rocky Boy Northern Stars (Box Elder, MT) in a B District 1 bout, on Saturday, February 3. Shelby will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
