In Saturday's non-league outing, the Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), by a count of 57-45.

The Norsemen (6-12) will now prepare for their outing against Helix (La Mesa, CA). The Highlanders go into the Grossmont - Hills outing with a 8-13 record. In their last outing, Helix defeated West Hills (Santee, CA), 68-52, in a league outing.

The Foothillers now hold a 4-13 record. They play next when they host El Capitan for a Grossmont - Valley outing on Tuesday, January 16. Grossmont will clash with a Vaqueros squad coming off a 60-47 league win over Santana (Santee, CA). The Vaqueros record now stands at 15-5.
