Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ignacio Bobcats (Ignacio, CO), 54-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Pagosa Springs upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Alamosa (Alamosa, CO) to play the Mean Moose in a 4A/3A Intermountain bout on Friday, January 19. The Mean Moose go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Alamosa won 72-33 in their recent league bout against Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO) in a 4A/3A Intermountain bout, on Thursday, January 18. Ignacio will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 62-39 league loss to Centauri (La Jara, CO).
