Georgia High School Basketball - Statesboro edges Jenkins

January 13, 2024: Savannah, GA 31406

The Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA) basketball nipped the host Jenkins Warriors (Savannah, GA), 45-40 in Saturday's league test.

The Blue Devils (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA). The Tigers go into the AAAAA Region 1 test with a 15-1 record. In their last test, Bradwell Institute got by Coffee (Douglas, GA), 68-57, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Laney for a non-league test on Monday, January 15. Jenkins will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 54-51 league win over Washington County (Sandersville, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-7.
