New Jersey High School Basketball - Manchester Township thwarts Neptune

The Manchester Township Hawks (Lakehurst, NJ) basketball knocked off the visiting Neptune Scarlet Fliers (Neptune, NJ), 38-29 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Hawks (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Pinelands Regional (Tuckerton, NJ). The Wildcats go into the Shore B - South test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Pinelands Regional went down by Oakcrest (Mays Landing, NJ), 64-43, in a non-league test.
The Scarlet Fliers now own a 1-10 record. They play next when they travel to St. John-Vianney for a Shore A - Central test on Tuesday, January 16. Neptune will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 52-40 non-league win over Middletown North (Middletown, NJ). The Lancers record now stands at 4-8.
