South Shore Vikings (Brooklyn, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Jefferson Orange Wave (Brooklyn, NY), 87-86 in a league bout.

With the win, South Shore upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Vikings host Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, NY) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 14. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Cardinal Hayes won 66-65 in their recent non-league bout against Green Tech (Albany, NY)

Next up, the Orange Wave play the Erasmus Hall Dutchmen (Brooklyn, NY) in a PSAL AAAA Brooklyn/Staten Island I bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Dutchmen go into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 73-65 league loss to Lincoln (Brooklyn, NY).
