The Florence Falcons basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the visiting Austin Black Bears to 55 in the Falcons league victory on Saturday.
The Falcons now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Russellville for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. Florence will battle a Golden Tigers team coming off a 59-44 league loss to Lawrence County (Moulton, AL). The Golden Tigers record now stands at 8-10.
The Black Bears (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Bob Jones (Madison, AL). The Patriots come into the 7A Area 8 contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Bob Jones prevailed over Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL), 48-27, in a non-league contest.
