Idaho High School Basketball - Bear Lake thwarts Marsh Valley

The Bear Lake Bears (Montpelier, ID) basketball knocked off the visiting Marsh Valley Eagles (Arimo, ID), 50-41 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Bears (14-2) will now prepare for their test against Soda Springs (Soda Springs, ID). The Cardinals go into the 2A South East Idaho test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Soda Springs notched a victory over West Side (Dayton, ID), 63-21, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 2-14 record. They play next when they host Snake River for a 3A South East Idaho test on Thursday, January 18. Marsh Valley will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 50-40 non-league win over South Fremont (St. Anthony, ID). The Panthers record now stands at 11-5.
