In Saturday's non-league outing, the Bob Jones Patriots (Madison, AL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hillcrest Patriots (Tuscaloosa, AL), by a margin of 48-27.
The Patriots (21-3) will now prepare for their outing against Austin (Decatur, AL). The Black Bears go into the 7A Area 8 outing with a 9-10 record. In their last outing, Austin was trounced by Florence (Florence, AL), 64-55, in a league outing.
The Patriots now own a 16-7 record. They play next when they travel to Central for a 6A Area 6 outing on Tuesday, January 16. Hillcrest will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 68-60 league loss to Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Falcons record now stands at 13-8.
