The Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) basketball nipped the host Southeast Pirates (Ravenna, OH), 36-31 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Berkshire (Burton, OH). The Badgers go into the Chagrin Valley - Valley test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Berkshire got by Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH), 37-35, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Manchester for a non-league test on Monday, January 15. Southeast will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 56-54 league loss to Orrville (Orrville, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 5-9.
