Illinois High School Basketball - Lawrenceville knocked off by Mt. Carmel

The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Lawrenceville Indians to 31 in the Golden Aces non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Golden Aces now sport a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richland County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Mt. Carmel will meet a Tigers team coming off a 45-42 non-league win over Newton (Newton, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 10-10.

The Indians (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Newton (Newton, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 12-10 record. In their last contest, Newton was outscored by Richland County (Olney, IL), 45-42, in a non-league contest.
