Liberty Eagles (Liberty, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rushville-Industry Rockets (Rushville, IL), 40-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 7-18 on the season. The Eagles host Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL) to confront the Mustangs in a West Central - South challenge on Monday, January 22. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 12-10.

Next up, the Rockets confront the Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Rushville-Industry will attempt to improve on its 5-17 season record.
